Rachael Ray is such a sweetheart!
She has invited more than fifty Houston couples to share in a memorable wedding ceremony, after their own wedding plans were swept away by Hurricane Ike on September 12th, 2008.
Ray’s team of on-air “content buddies” flew into Houston to coordinate many of the elements leading up to the wedding, which will be held on November 2.
Gretta Monahan, the show’s fashion and style guru, will team with lifestyle contributor Colby Donaldson, to help the brides and grooms choose their wedding attire.
The Rachael Ray show will create a special one-hour episode about the couples.
It will end with a giant wedding and reception held on the playing field at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.
The entire show will be shot during the two weeks leading up to the wedding, and will air on RACHAEL RAY in late November.

Appearing in several of Macy’s celebrity-filled advertising campaigns, Jessica Simpson will celebrate Macy’s 150th birthday at its New York City birthday bash on October 28, 2008.
Macy’s birthday is tomorrow.
And to celebrate, the mega store chain will rename 34th Street in New York City to R.H. Macy Way in honor of the brand’s founder.
It’s the location of its Herald Square flagship and world’s largest store.
That same evening, Macy’s will host a fashion industry gala at Gotham Hall – just a block from its flagship store – with a guest list featuring
The event will culminate with the reveal of a special birthday cake designed by Duff from Ace of Cakes followed by a fireworks finale off the roof of the retailer’s famous NYC landmark store.
Also, in honor of the milestone, the Empire State Building (Macy’s neighbor on 34th Street) will be lit red.
The ceremonial unveiling of the street sign will take place the morning of October 28. The temporary signs will be on view until November 15th.

Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani are officially the top two most powerful people in men’s fashion and retail.
That’s according to DNR’s 100 most powerful people in fashion list.
Other winners included J. Crew’s Mickey Drexler, Donatella Versace and DKI’s Mark Weber.
However, losing ground were A&F’s Michael Jeffries and Gap’s Glenn Murphy.
Hugo Boss’ Bruno Sälzer has completely disappeared from the top 100 list, while Karen Murray of Nautica has made a comeback.
