60 Years of Soles and Stripes

We’re gonna be seeing an awful lot of adidas from tomorrow.

The sportswear maker is celebrating “60 Years of Soles and Stripes” and invading your living rooms with its first-ever TV commercial.

What’s special is that they’ve brought out A-isters from music, fashion and sport to take part.

Expect to see Katy Perry, Estelle, Young Jeezy, the Ting Tings, DMC-Daryl McDaniels, Method Man, Redman, Afra, Ryukyudisko, Russell Simmons, Missy Elliott, Kevin Garnett and David Beckham rocking the soles and stripes on a TV near you.

Awe-some!

ALDO fights AIDS

Picture this.

I’ve just found a killer pair of shoes at ALDO.

I head to the checkout counter to pay for them.

And just before the sales assistant puts the purchase through, she says, “Would you like to make a donation to fight HIV/AIDS across the world?”

She’s caught me completely off guard.

I’d really love to make a contribution but I’ve already exceeded my budget after picking up a few other items that weren’t on my shopping list today.

Names for my Fall Collection

So, it’s that time again…. I’ve just finished designing my Fall 2009 collection. Now, as I do with every collection, I need to name all the pieces. When I was begining I used names and nicknames of my friends and family, but I ran out of names after a few seasons. So, as I was starting to name the pieces in my fall collection, I had an idea. Since it is the support of all the fans that allow me to do this line in the first place, I should name pieces after them. I would love it if you would leave me a comment with your name. You may have a piece in my fall collection named after you. Thanks again for your continued kind words and support! Best wishes!

They’ve just struck a deal with Victoria’s Secret to launch the lingerie store’s 24/7 mobile channel.

That’s right; your bf will be able to tune into “VICTORIA’S SECRET TV,” a new, dedicated never-goes-off-air channel that gives viewers an all-access pass to the 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on their mobile phones.

It includes behind-the-scenes pre-show coverage and a broadcast of the full show on December 3.
