The Salvatore Ferragama Lady Sarah Ashley Limited Edition Sandal
You may have heard about Nicole Kidman’s movie release, Australia.
But when I finally see it, it won’t be about the plot, cast or quality of acting.
I’ll be looking at her shoes.
Reason being, Salvatore Ferragamo, has created Nicole’s shoe wardrobe for the film.
It’s a one-of-a-kind creative collaboration between Ferragamo’s designers and Catherine Martin, costume designer for Australia.
Cool deets on some of the shoes:
- The deep Ferragamo red that features in the evening sandal worn by Kidman’s character during the pivotal Governor’s Ball scene was already something of a Ferragamo signature in the ’40s.
- The ribbed wedge detail featured in the shoe worn by Lady Sarah Ashley at her homestead on Faraway Downs derives from a style created originally for Katherine Hepburn.
