The recession is taking its toll on the developed world.
But it’s hard to forget that there are still people in other corners of the globe suffering.
That’s why I had to tell you about Afrik.
It’s a clothing line started by Cornell student, Fritswa B that’s sponsoring an orphanage in Juba, Sudan.
And when she officially launches her clothing line on February 13 in New York, proceeds will be used to purchase vital supplies and fund programming for 66 children separated from their families during wartime.
Afrik clothing can be found in streetwear boutiques across New York City as well as online at www.afrikstyle.com.
Event info: Katra Lounge, 217 Bowery St., New York, NY. 8 pm.
