Amber Rose Featured in Vibe Magazine Resurrection Issue

Vibe Magazine will launch a two-cover “Resurrection Issue,” featuring a fashion shoot with model and girlfriend of Kanye West, Amber Rose.

Controversial R&B singer Chris Brown and up-and-coming triple threat singer/rapper/actor Drake will cover the mag.

It hits newsstands December 14, 2009.

SpongeBob Squarepants Hits Zales Stores

Here’s some news for SpongeBob SquarePants fans out there!

Starting today,  December 8, you’ll find the popular T.V. character in Zales jewelry stores, thanks to a Simmons Jewelry Co. and Nickolodeon partnership.

The launch of SpongeBob SquarePants fine jewelry comes on the heels of the icon’s 10th anniversary.

The collection, including rings, necklaces, dog tags and earrings, is crafted from sterling silver and Swarovski crystals.

Preview :: Commercial for Usher’s New Fragrance

Usher recently traveled to the French Riviera to film his new commercial for his latest fragrance, Usher VIP.

The television spot, directed by filmmaker Pierre Morel (Taken), shows Usher and his female companion being chased by paparazzi through the streets of Monte Carlo.

According to Elizabeth Arden, the major brand behind the fragrance, the debut of Usher VIP comes in anticipation of the release of his new album due out in early 2010.

Introducing…Bottega Veneta in A Bottle

Luxury lifestyle brand, Bottega Veneta, is bottling itself.

Friday, the brand well known for its handbags and women’s ready-to-wear announced an exclusive partnership withbeauty company, Coty Inc.

Together, they’ll create, develop, and distribute a line of fragrances under the Bottega Veneta name.

This will be Bottega Veneta’s first fragrance collection.

Back in September, Coty Inc. announced a similar partnership with Beyonce. Her yet to be named fragrance is scheduled for an early 2010 debut in North and South America.

Alicia Keys Dazzles on UPTOWN Holiday Issue Cover

UPTOWN Magazine must be pretty pleased with the cover of their holiday issue.

Alicia Keys dazzles and inspires readers, even before we get to check out the cover story on the inside.

The holiday and December/January 2010 issue lands on newsstands December 8, with Keys discussing her latest album, “The Element of Freedom.”

She also touches on singing her new single “Empire State of Mind” with Jay-Z at Yankee Stadium during the World Series, her new company AK Worldwide, and dealing with “rumors and haters.”

This issue also includes “The Uptown Best Dressed List of 2009”–a look at the those individuals who elevate fashion to an art form.

First Lady Michelle Obama, father-daughter team Lenny & Zoe Kravitz, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter and Obama Administration Social Secretary, Desiree Rogers, are a few who make the list.

Bravo Responds to Project Runway Move

In April, Bravo TV piqued my interest when they announced the pending debut of “Launch My Line.”

Then I really paid attention when they said the show would feature Dan and Dean of DSQUARED2.

Yes, it’s fairly obvious that this is Bravo’s response to Project Runway’s epic move to Lifetime.

But a part of me feels like “Launch My Line” may wriggle its way into our Wednesday TV-watching habits after it debuts December 2 at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Two Fashion Lines Make Move to Mass Market Retailers

Zac Posen is designing a collection for Target and Mango will launch a line at JcPenney!

And while I got two very official press releases corroborating what media outlets have been reporting since Monday, I’m almost still in doubt.
