A Life Remembered: Alexander McQueen

We all knew we would be saying goodbye to Bryant Park when the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York started.

But none of us probably imagined we would be saying adieu to designing talent, Alexander McQueen.

No doubt, many are saddened by his death.

In reflecting, I’m choosing to take a look at many of the great and memorable moments he helped shape in the fashion world.

RIP, McQueen.

2002: Accepting his award for ‘Revolutionary Designer Of The Year’ onstage at the 2002 VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards in NYC.

2003: Receiving a Marie Claire Fashion award at the 1st Edition of the Marie Claire Magazine Fashion Awards at the French Embassy in Madrid, Spain.

2006: With Sarah Jessica Parker at a Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute benefit gala.

2008: The showing of his Fall-Winter 2008-2009 Ready-to-Wear collection show in Paris.

2008: New store opening in Los Angeles, California.

2009: His McQ line launches at Target in February.


2009: Ready-to-Wear A/W 2009 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week at POPB.

2009: The presentation of the Alexander McQueen PUMA Sport-Fashion Apparel and Footwear Collection in Milan.

2009: Spring-Summer 2010 ready-to-wear collection show held at the POPB-Bercy in Paris.

2010: Model Olivia Inge lays a floral tribute outside his home in London.
