After a heated debate among the judging panel, Gretchen Jones was named the winner of “Project Runway” Season Eight on Thursday night.
And in what arguably came down to a back-and-forth discussion on whether ready-to-wear should win out over “costumey,” Mondo was made to settle for second place.
Gretchen walks away with $100,000 from L’Oreal Paris to start her own line, a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine, and the opportunity to design and sell an exclusive collection on Piperlime.com. That said, I’m very optimistic that this is not the last we’ll see of Mondo. He’s too fresh and too now to be ignored.
