Avon to Sponsor Black Eyed Peas Tour

In a move, which will very likely broaden its popular appeal, Avon has signed on as an official sponsor of The Black Eyed Peas “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010.” With this move, the company joins a roster of supporting brands that includes BlackBerry and Bacardi.

Avon will be the exclusive fragrance and cosmetics tour brand, a partnership which lines up with the company’s recent announcement that it will collaborate with Fergie on a fragrance called “Outspoken.” It launches in Western Europe in May 2010, followed by launches in North America, Latin America and other global markets in the coming months.

Andy Warhol Inspires New Summer Fragrance

I’ve made up my mind that no matter what this fragrance smells like, I want it.

The Bond No. 9 Andy Warhol Montauk makes for a great vanity piece (if nothing else) with the bottle’s surface design displaying Warhol’s iconic Sunsets, which dates back to 1972– just a year after the artist discovered Montauk.

Anyways, the fragrance is the fifth in Bond No. 9′s series of Warhol collectible eaux de parfum and is an androgynous male-female summer perfume. According to Bond No. 9, it takes a new approach to the genre of beach scent and was inspired by Warhol’s forays to Long Island’s farthest reach.

It will cost you between $145 and $220 to have this bottle on your vanity this summer. It launches on Memorial Day.

Mary J. Blige Presents “My Life”

Seems everyone is the face of a fragrance these days. This time around it’s Mary J. Blige  for Carol’s Daughter, with a fragrance that was inspired by her life experiences, which we’ve heard about on her “My Life” album.

The new fragrance, also called “My Life,” launches exclusively on HSN and will be available July 31, 2010.

“My Life” is a first from Mary J. Blige and the first celebrity fragrance to be developed by Carol’s Daughter.

As with anything associated with MJB these days, there’s a good-news element. A portion of the proceeds of the fragrance benefits the Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN).  FFAWN was created by Mary J. Blige and Steve Stoute (Chairman & Lead Investor at Carol’s Daughter) to help women gain the confidence and skills they need to pursue and realize their goals and dreams.

kate spade to Launch New Fragrance

A recent shopping trip to Woodbury Common in New Jersey was unexpectedly (but pleasantly) punctuated by a to-die-for pair of kate spade shoes.

So the brand is very fresh in my mind. Up until then, I had no clue their offering was so contemporary.

Now I’m forced to think of them again, with news of their debut fragrance breaking today. Launching in Fall 2010, the kate spade new york fragrance will be manufactured and distributed by Elizabeth Arden.

Elizabeth Arden’s portfolio already includes fragrance brands like Elizabeth Taylor, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Usher, Juicy Couture and Alfred Sung.
