New Shapewear Claims to Slim, Burn Calories

Ever heard of ShāToBu?

Me neither. Until today…

I say they’re basically Spanx that make you slimmer.

But creators claim that the new products aren’t  just ordinary shapewear, and that they’re proven to burn calories when you wear them during everyday activities.

Developed by chiropractor Dr. Denise Perron, ShāToBu says research proves that their products could help women burn up to 12 percent more calories.

That’s a possible 30,000 extra calories in one year if you wear one 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, they say.

I’m sure they’ll raise many eyebrows and perhaps be passed off as gimmicky.

Either way, I still found myself browsing their web site and snooping around on their Facebook page.

Because at no more than $60 a pop, I’m not sure there’s that much to lose.
