Jessica Simpson has returned to reality TV.

Today I learned that the singer/actress/designer stars in a new VH1 series, “Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty,” which is set to premiere Monday, March 15 at 10PM ET/PT.

The original series takes her to places like Japan, France, Morocco, and India to meet everyday women and local pop culture icons.

According to VH1, the whole point of the show is to highlight “what constitutes beauty in these foreign cultures.” From what I’ve been reading, the show gets really interesting when Jessica participates in some of the countries’ extreme beauty practices to complete her cultural experience.

I know it probably won’t come close to “The Newlyweds” but I’m sure Jessica will make it either incredibly fun or overbearing to watch.

Anyways, you can catch a sneak peek of the season’s first episode on VH1.com on Friday, March 12.
