Did Macy’s get cooler all of a sudden? Maybe they did.
Wednesday’s announcement that they’ve formed a partnership with Madonna for a new collection, although unexpected, seems pretty cool.
Do I care that the new “Material Girl” collection is for juniors only? No. The fact is, it’s Madonna.
In stores from August 2010, it’s being labeled a “fast-fashion junior collection” with some pretty realistic price points, I should add.
To be specific, that’s$12 to $40 for a collection designed by Madonna and her daughter Lourdes.
“Material Girl” includes footwear, handbags and jewelry at the moment but will also touch the lifestyle and beauty sectors, including fragrance, beginning in 2011.
