Of all the places Tyra could take this season’s ANTM contestants, why in the world did she choose New Zealand?
“…Because it is a place that a lot of Americans, particularly young Americans, think of as a fantasy destination,” says Tyra. Apparently, New Zealand also caught the cast’s attention for its “fashion forward” quality, hip boutiques and restaurants.
So much that the tourism officials in New Zealand have launched an ANTM special for travel to their island.
Air New Zealand is offering a US$798 round-trip airfare from Los Angeles or San Francisco to Auckland. In addition, the country is offering an “America’s Next Top Model” tour, which can be booked at GoNewZealand.com, where Tyra is featured in an exclusive video interview.
Two more ANTM episodes featuring New Zealand air May 5 and May 12 at 8 p.m./7 p.m. Central on The CW.
