As if we needed any more proof of his sovereignty, Diddy was crowned king of the department store today.

Sean John, his contemporary fashion sportswear company, has landed a huge deal in which Macy’s will be the exclusive department store retailer of the brand’s men’s sportswear collection.

The collection hits stores beginning in Spring 2011, with merchandise receipts arriving in October 2010.

Macy’s confirmed that to start, Sean John will be available in 400 Macy’s stores across America and on macys.com, with additional stores to be added in the years ahead.

In addition, extensive Sean John sportswear shops will be included in Macy’s flagship stores – Herald Square in New York, Union Square in San Francisco, State Street in Chicago, Dadeland in Miami and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA.
