The 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival got underway today in France.

And all the activity surrounding the premiere of “Robin Hood” got my full attention, starting with the photocall at which Cate Blanchett appeared wearing a Giorgio Armani Privé cocktail dress.

Kate Beckinsale was stunning on the premiere red carpet in a blue Marchesa gown, which was heavenly in all its draped tulle glory but shouldn’t take away from Eva Longoria Parker’s and Aishwarya Rai’s dresses, which were equally ethereal.
