It’s going to be a pretty pink 2011!
Actually, honeysuckle is more like it. Let me explain.
Every year, Pantone, the global authority on color, announces its color of the year. On Thursday, it conferred that title on Honeysuckle for 2011.
And here’s the reasoning behind it.
“In times of stress, we need something to lift our spirits. Honeysuckle is a captivating, stimulating color that gets the adrenaline going – perfect to ward off the blues,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
Honeysuckle succeeds Turquoise of 2010 color of the year and should work well for day and night in women’s apparel, accessories and cosmetics, says Pantone. Let’s see how this flies with all the anti-pink people out there!
