On Monday, September 12, the beauty pageant world will turn its attention to Brazil when the 60th annual Miss Universe telecast gets underway.
Nearly 90 contestants from countries around the world will vie for the crown in Sao Paulo during a live TV event, which airs from 9 p.m. ET. And for the first time ever, fans in those nations can vote for their favorite contestant for an automatic spot into the semifinals.
The judging panel includes an interesting bunch: U.S. broadcast icon, Connie Chung, actress, Vivica Fox, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member, Adrienne Maloof, and Brazilian supermodel Isabeli Fontana.
As an island girl, I’m rooting for the Caribbean beauties on Monday night.
