Last night, it was that time of year again.
Unlike past events, however, the Costume Institute Gala seemed to have no single “it” trend that dominated the red carpet. Everything from sequins to jewel tones to elaborate (and I do mean elaborate) trains to pastels and traditional black popped up.
Sidebar: Of course, it wouldn’t quite have been the Met Gala if the stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art didn’t present the usual challenge to Hollywood’s A-listers who continuously opt for skin-tight, floor-length gowns despite the climb ahead of them at the entrance.
While it might be fun to identify the hits and misses of the night, here’s a look at all we loved from this year’s Met Gala, themed “Schiaparelli And Prada: Impossible Conversations.”
