As crowds thronged to New York City for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I huddled over my MacBook Pro for a virtual front-row seat.
There has been a lot to take in. And just about three days shy of its September 13 end, I’ve singled out my favorites so far.
For the hypnotic prints and breezy silhouettes. And the palm fronds as hair accessories? To die for.
Hervé Léger by Max Azria
For the impeccable tailoring, sexy silhouettes, and use of a neutral palette. Plus, the clever use of geometric patterns.
For edgy looks with lots of attitude–from belts that were too long, to see-through jackets, to playful peplums.
For its “African Icons” presentation that was a breath of fresh air: powerful prints, rich colors, and unapologetic shine and sparkle.
Diane von Furstenberg
For an ultra-feminine collection that’s bold and subtly sexy–so very DvF!
