As Labor Day approaches, everyone has their eyes set on Fall.
September will bring cooler weather (hopefully), beautifully colorful trees–and exciting fashion trends.
Here are seven must-have looks I’ve got my eye on as Summer makes its exit.
Leather is the new denim this season.
Faux-leather and authentic leather apparel in various colors and styles give looks an edgy, rocker vibe.
I’m a huge fan of the burgundy hue.

The ankle strap heel dominated Summer and will also be around for the Fall.
It’s a sleek shoe option that pairs well with casual and dressier looks, and a perfect pedicure.

Life’s better in black and white this season–and it gets even more exciting when prints and patterns are involved.
I’m not only in love with black-and-white menswear-inspired looks but also with flirty, feminine bodycon styles.

I love dramatic accessories so Fall jewelry trends suit me well.
I’m looking forward to playing up simple looks with bold, gold accessories with fun, chunky links.

When I first spotted athletic-inspired wear in this season’s lookbooks, I was on the fence.
I still haven’t embraced every style in the tomboy-meets-90s trend. However, I’m willing to give some a try on occasions when comfy-casual looks are appropriate.

This Fall definitely belongs to the felines.
I plan to turn to animal-print accessories to play up simple or dated outfits in need of that extra oomph.
Why accessories? Because they’re usually more affordable than apparel and have a more economical cost per wear.

I’m saying “yes” to the skater dress this Fall.
In bright colors, subdued hues and patterns, it’s already my go-to look.
I wore this comfortable but cute look to business meetings, to church, to dinner and to school during the Summer. I plan to pair them with jackets and tights as temperatures dip.
