Sue at Home: Rediscovering Colorful Places in Barbados

Sueann Tannis in Holetown, Barbados

One thing I’ve always loved about Barbados is the vibrant colors: what we wear, the paint we choose for our homes and our places of business–sometimes, even our cars.

It all pops in contrast to the cold, dark shades of the concrete jungles farther North.

When Scenes of Barbados took me into Holetown one Monday morning, it was bursting with color.

In First and Second Streets, I discovered new spots–bars, lounges and houses–that were bright, bold and beautiful.

It was the perfect place to have fun in my Summer favorites: tropical prints, crop tops, anything with a knot detail, and flowing, flare pants.

What a morning it was!
