Quick Snack Idea: Homemade Gourmet Popcorn

homemade_gourmet_popcorn_recipe

Last month, I invited a few friends over and included gourmet popcorn in the snack lineup.

When my guests started asking where it was from, I couldn’t help but smirk a little. Truth is, it wasn’t store-bought,  I hadn’t spent a fortune on it–and I’d made it under 10 minutes.

I thought I would share the recipe with you.

  1. Toss 12 cups (about two microwavable bags) of already-popped natural popcorn in 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley and toss
  3. Add teaspoons of smoked paprika and toss again
  4. Serve!

Although I went with smoked paprika and parsley that night, I have also used dill in place of the parsley (pictured) for this recipe.

Some of my other favorite mixes are: cajun and chive; garlic, rosemary and thyme; parmesan and rosemary.

So easy, so tasty, and a quick snack for guests or for when you’re on the go.
