Before I settled on my favorites, much of my money went into testing personal care and beauty products until I found “the one”. A significant amount of that spend was also on must-have, recurring purchases such as acne-slaying skin products, shaving cream and costly razors.
Recently, I’ve ditched the razors along with the bumps, ingrown hair and discoloration that can come along with shaving. My newfound love is laser hair removal, which has completely changed my life.

For many years, I had a love-hate relationship with TJX stores. You know, the family of discount stores that includes HomeGoods, Marshalls and T.J.Maxx.
Finding clothing in my size was a rare occurrence. Finding size-six shoes, even rarer. And scoring items I needed in a complete set was a miracle. Think: curtain panels for a space with more than two windows or dinnerware for a party of six.
Recently, I realized I’ve been going about my shopping at TJX stores all wrong.
Most mornings, if I eat breakfast at home, I’ll arrive at the office much later than I care to, so I take it with me.
But I’ve always drawn the line at cereal, which almost always results in a spill when I try to enjoy it on the go.
