This time, it’s dressing Fantasia for the cover of her new album, “Back to Me.” And she definitely looks uber-glam!

If you saw Lady Gaga on “American Idol” last night, chances are you were either WTF-ing at her outfit, or you were really fascinated by it.
Either way, I thought you’d like to know that all that embroidered-Chantilly-lace-and-silk-organza-cape wonderfulness was the work of Armani–and her third such outfit by the design label. Armani also dressed Lady Gaga for the Grammy Awards and this week’s Met Gala.
Giorgio Armani took some time to comment on the performance outfit and the inspiration behind it.
“To complement the spirit of Lady Gaga herself, I have let my imagination run free, and the outfit I have created for her for American Idol is pure fantasy,” he said.

In more PETA news, Benetton seems to be the latest clothing company being scrutinized by the animal-loving organization.
Apparently, PETA has learned that Benetton will most likely include real fur in its fall/winter 2009 line.
This, they say, “despite knowing that animals on fur farms spend their entire lives confined to cramped, filthy wire cages, often with exposed bones, wounds, and eye infections.”
“While the company has committed to becoming fur-free as of 2010, animals shouldn’t have to endure even one more season of abuse,” PETA continues on their web site.

The “Madame Butterfly” silk chiffon wrap dress is from their Spring/Summer 2009 collection called “Rhapsody in Bloom.”
