Patricia Arquette, “Medium” actress, is featured in “Envision a World With No Homeless Dogs or Cats.” It’s PETA’s new stunning Animal Birth Control ad.
Every now and then, PETA puts a fashion designer / retailer on the spot.
This time around, it’s Urban Outfitters for selling vintage fur in their stores.
PETA has issued an Action Alert for its supporters.
PETA recently learned that Urban Outfitters is selling real fur, and while the fur appears to be vintage, selling any fur sends the unacceptable message that it is OK to trap, beat, drown, and anally or vaginally electrocute animals—and even skin animals alive—for clothing.
We need you to tell Urban Outfitters that spreading this message is not acceptable.
Donna Karan’s fall 2009 collection will be fur free.
And it’s because of Tim Gunn.
The make-it-work fashion expert has become the latest celebrity to lend his voice to animals by narrating PETA’s new skins video which he sent with a personal appeal to Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani.
The two designers are known for using rabbit fur in their collections.
Since Tim’s appeal, Donna Karan has indicated that she has “no plans” to use fur in the future.
No word from Mr. Armani yet.
Yesterday, there was a live unveiling of Khloe’s ad in L.A.
