Prabal Gurung definitely delivered with his Spring/Summer 2012 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Saturday.
In a runway show that featured Nicki Minaj seated in the front row, the runway show was an abundance of purple, brilliant use of sheer fabrics and intriguing prints.
The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles–better known as MOCA–held its annual gala on Saturday.
As expected, there was no shortage of red-carpet looks to gawk at.
Check out a few of my absolutely favorite style statements from the event, which was sponsored by Chanel Fine Jewelry.

What doesn’t Queen B do?
Beyoncé has revealed her newest project — temporary tattoos with Dereon and Temptu.
What would you do with 12 Louis Vuitton handbags?
I’d keep them all, for sure!
However, conceptual artist R. Lloyd Ming did quite the opposite.
During the 2008 Christmas season, he had his assistant buy 12 “Alma” handbags at Manhattan Louis Vuitton store.
Then he cut them all into pieces to use in a sculpture.
The bags, with a price tag of over $12,000, were used to create “Vuitton Crucifix” — part of Ming’s solo show called, “I Am not Chinese.”
It runs from March 3, 2009 to April 3, 2009 at 55 West 74th Street Studio C. New York NY, 10023.
The show is by appointment; Telephone: (212)362.3093 or visit the artist’s web site.
