I’m a PR girl. So I’ve got a thing for designer collaborations and celebrity partnerships in the beauty and fashion worlds. Yes, I think thing is the right term.

Recently, I’ve been doing research for school on whether they work or not. Does an H&M partnership with Karl Lagerfeld bring more store sales? Or does a Madonna and Macy’s pairing create magic on the bottom line?

It looks like the jury’s still out on how much high-profile collaborations mean for business in the end.

But as a consumer, here’s what I think: they’re fun to shop, explore online and help me discover new design talent and hidden celebrity talents.

Who Wore What :: 2012 Billboard Music Awards

It will probably never attain the popularity or a viewing audience the size of the Grammys’. However, there’s no denying that there’s something absolutely charming about the Billboard Music Awards.

On Sunday, May 20, the 2012 edition of the event brought music’s most talented to the red carpet at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.

Who Wore What :: 2012 Met Gala

Last night, it was that time of year again.

Unlike past events, however, the Costume Institute Gala seemed to have no single “it” trend that dominated the red carpet. Everything from sequins to jewel tones to elaborate (and I do mean elaborate) trains to pastels and traditional black popped up.
