It’s no secret that I’m a proud Caribbean woman.
I’m a sucker for the vibrancy of our culture, our sense of style, our food, the magic in our music, our signature island lilt. The list of island things I love could go on and on…
It should be no surprise, then that I’ve pulled together an island style holiday guide.
It features delightful, high-quality products made in the Caribbean or by Caribbean people, which have gotten my attention this Christmas.
Hope you’ll love them as much as I do!
It’s hardly been a week since shoppers packed stores for Black Friday and dissed office work for Cyber Monday sales.
But how many of us are fully confident with the gift choices we make? And how many more are disappointed as they unwrap gifts from loved ones during the holiday season? Thank God for gift receipts, right?
It’s part of the reason why I thought I would make this year’s gift guide something special, unique, and hopefully, worth your while.
Here are my Christmas gift ideas for 2013.
Today, Black Friday, marked the official start of the 2012 holiday shopping season. That said, after an entire day out shopping, many people are likely still clueless about what to get for the loved ones on their lists.
So I’m pleased to present my wishlist of seven items I’ve got my eye on. They should also provide gift ideas about what to get for a fabulous woman in her twenties, who loves fashion and celebrates her sense of style.
Christmas might as well have come early.
Target and Neiman Marcus have announced a partnership of epic proportions for the holiday 2012 season.
Come December 1, we will be able to shop more than 50 limited-edition gifting items created by 24 preeminent designers, priced between $7.99 and $499.99.
There’s one thing we learn about the Victoria’s Secret Angels in one of their newest video releases.
Adriana Lima, Doutzen Kroes, Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel, Erin Heatherton, and Lindsay Ellingson are better models than they are singers!
But they’re cute all the same.
Check them out showing us their hidden talents by singing, “Jingle Bells.” The video was shot by the behind-the-scenes crew while the Angels were on set filming the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Holiday Commercial.
We all knew the Lady Gaga / Barney’s holiday collaboration was going to be epic.
But who would’ve thought press-on nails, a cookie baked in the singer’s likeness and a Gaga Christmas tree ornament would be in the mix.
Not sounding fun enough yet? Here’s another reason to shop at Gaga’s Workshop. 25% of sales from all items featured will be donated to the Born This Way Foundation. It’s the chart-topper’s newest project focusing on youth empowerment and equality.

Demi Moore at 48 could make young, fab fashionistas do a double take with her holiday campaign for Ann Taylor.
Long considered a brand for “older” women, they’ve got Mrs. Kutcher to thank (ironically) for giving them a more youthful, playful vibe.
