Danity Kane’s Dispute with Louis Vuitton

So today I found out that Louis Vuitton had brought claims against Danity Kane for unauthorized use of their intellectual property.

Who knew!?!

However, Louis Vuitton Malletier issued a statement Thursday indicating that “an amicable settlement agreement” had been signed.

According to LV:

As part of the settlement, Bad Boy Records agrees to remove from Danity Kane’s self-titled debut-album, as well as from two related videos, visual references to Louis Vuitton trademarks. Going forward Bad Boy will make available amended versions of the album and videos without the Louis Vuitton content and shall not use Louis Vuitton intellectual property in the future without authorization. The financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

In the end, the Louis Vuitton camp says they were pleased with Warner Music Group’s and Bad Boy’s commitment to educating their artists about the importance of respecting the world renowned Toile Monogram and Multicolore marks.

Interesting….

In all, it seems that the Bad Boy folk were pretty cooperative.

What’s Happening with Danity Kane?!

In light of recent events concerning Danity Kane, I decided to do a bit of research.

After seemingly being split up by Diddy during the penultimate episode of Making the Band, you can’t help but wonder.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR DANITY KANE?!

The Bad Boy Entertainment camp may be pretty silent on the matter.

But I’ve drawn the conclusion that Danity Kane isn’t dead — well at least their clothing line isn’t.

Their Dollhouse collection is still available online.

Even though it’s just three pairs of jeans in inventory.

See for yourself.

Diddy RULES!

Diddy has done it again!

Today, he bought fashion label ENYCE from Liz Claiborne.

In case you can’t remember, Enyce is a denim based sportswear brand for men and boys and also has a women’s line.

In true no-bitchassness style, Diddy said he and Liz Claiborne will work together to ensure a smooth and orderly transition for retail partners, vendors and employees.

Add Enyce to the portfolio of brands that he already owns, including Sean John and Zac Posen.

Then go ahead and top that with his marketing of Ciroc Vodka, Unforgivable by Sean John, and all of his television titles.

There can be no argument. Diddy rules.
