In a move, which will very likely broaden its popular appeal, Avon has signed on as an official sponsor of The Black Eyed Peas “The E.N.D. World Tour 2010.” With this move, the company joins a roster of supporting brands that includes BlackBerry and Bacardi.
Avon will be the exclusive fragrance and cosmetics tour brand, a partnership which lines up with the company’s recent announcement that it will collaborate with Fergie on a fragrance called “Outspoken.” It launches in Western Europe in May 2010, followed by launches in North America, Latin America and other global markets in the coming months.
I was happy to stumble across behind-the-scenes footage of Fergie’s cover shoot for the May issue of ELLE.
I’m pleasantly surprised by the soft, feminine styling, which contrasts with the over-the-top, rocker-influenced performance outfits she usually wears while on stage.

I just had to include the rare event appearance from Lauryn Hill — on trend or not, it was great to see her!
If you’re trendspotting, take some notes from Serena Williams wearing a distressed cropped leather jacket. Sarah Jessica Parker also provides a great reference for rescuing potentially bland outfits with a pop of color. And Fergie, in true Spring style, shows why women everywhere are catching floral fever.

I’m so over-the-moon happy for Keri Hilson!
Today, I learned that she will be the new face of Avon brands, Imari, Imari Seduction and Color. According to Avon, the singer/songwriter was tapped for her “magnetic appeal, singular talent and classic beauty.”
She will appear in the pages of Avon’s brochure for Imari beginning in August 2010 and for Color throughout the remainder of the year. Her first official appearance on behalf of the brand will be performing at Avon’s annual sales conference this month.
Other celebrities on the Avon roster include Fergie, Courteney Cox, Patrick Dempsey, Zoe Saldana and Reese Witherspoon.
This past week in fashion, quite a few stars rocked on-trend looks on the red carpet, and while out and about.
Former Spice Girl, Geri Halliwell, Nancy O’Dell, and Selena Gomez, brightened up the red carpet, with hues of pink and teal, while Fergie kept it traditional in black at the premier of “Nine.”
Actress, Zoe Saldana,brought the strong-shoulder trend into focus, as she left a taping of the Letterman show.
