Milan Fashion Week :: Dolce&Gabbana Womenswear Summer 2011

Absolutely no words to describe how I feel about this collection.

But I’ve got four letters: L-O-V-E.

Maybe it’s the simplicity of the black and white, the gold hoops donned by nearly every model, the very symbolic cross pendants, or the soundtrack for the runway show.

Who knows? One thing I’m certain of, however, is that Dolce&Gabbana wins with the relaxed and sensual theme for summer.

I absolutely, positively love it!

Sunday in Italy, Dolce&Gabbana threw a party to celebrate Naomi Campbell’s 25-year career.

The controversial supermodel was joined by attendees including partner, Vladislav Voronin, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Jada and Willow Smith.

Cute how the models wore the limited edition t-shirts created by Dolce&Gabbana to honor Naomi’s 25 years in modeling.

Keep reading for more pics.

P.S. Check out the site developed by Dolce&Gabbana for the model. Fab photos!

The Irrelevance of Italy’s World Cup Exit

The fact that Italy is out of the FIFA World Cup is totally irrelevant to me right now.

Why? Because some wonderful people at Dolce & Gabbana have done THIS!

Thank you, Antonio Di Natale, Vincenzo Iaquinta, Claudio Marchisio, Federico Marchetti and Domenico Criscito!

Italian Fashion House Hires African Designers

I’m a sucker for diversity.

So I’m definitely happy about this new development.

Italian fashion house, Romeo Gigli, is hiring African designers with a dream.

They’ll be creating a menswear collection–which Gigli is developing to add “an international influence to its clothes,” according to a Reuters report.

When the six young folk from Ghana, Senegal and Kenya join the creative team at Gigli later this year, they’ll be hashing out a 2009/2010 autumn/winter collection.

It includes 25-30 pieces and will be called “Romeo Gigli Lab.”

The big collection reveal is set for January along and will be presented with Romeo Gigli’s featured collection.

The fashion house is also looking to hire aspiring designers from Jordan and China in the future.
