The BET AWARDS 12 was all kinds of wonderful at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles last evening.
The star-studded show featured Samuel L. Jackson as host and a lineup of outstanding nominees, including Beyonce, Kanye West, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige, Drake, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Serena Williams. Of course, there was also the Whitney Tribute, which I’m sure got plenty a makeup look in the Auditorium smudged.
As usual, fashion emerged as one of the big highlights, and there are a couple observations I can’t help but mention.
For 40 years, Maybelline Great Lash has been a cosmetic staple for women the world over.
Nearly 20 million pieces are sold annually and celebs like Mary J. Blige, Selena Gomez, Kate Beckinsale, Kim Kardashian, Chloe Sevigny and Nicole Richie (the list goes on!) are part of the pink and green tube’s fandom.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the brand has tapped designers Max Azria, Tracy Reese and Vivienne Tam to create limited-edition packaging.
If you’ve seen the recently launched Old Navy commercials, you’ve probably done a double take.
Is that really Kim Kardashian starring in the store’s “Super C-U-T-E” spring campaign ad?
For a week and a half, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York churned out runway show after runway show.
Although there’s no denying the fascinating fashion that came down the catwalk, the celebrity-packed front rows had their own appeal.
The 53rd Grammy Awards red carpet was, in one word, interesting.
From Nicki Minaj’s wild-child look (hair included!) to Rihanna’s tiered gown to Gaga’s egg capsule, the style couldn’t have been any crazier.

If there’s one thing the Kardashian clan is good at, it’s making us fall hook, line and sinker for whatever they’re working on.
And that they did in drumming up anticipation for Kim Kardashian’s SKECHERS Shape-Ups Super Bowl XLV commercial.
Like a lamb led to the slaughter, I found myself watching the clock, waiting for the 2 minute warning in the 4th quarter for the slot.
It’s been two days since the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place.
Do I know and care who won? No and not so much.
What really matters to me, however, is who wore what when the red carpet rolled out at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
