On July 4th, I joined my friend Ayanna for an impromptu shopping trip to Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg, Md.
When we got there, we ventured into jcpenney, which media recently reported is on the brink of collapse. But yesterday, what I found was a pretty amazing department store filled with fab! Here are five things I discovered, which might surprise you.

So I wasted no time checking out the Prabal Gurung for Target collection when my friend and fellow fashionista, Kathryn, tweeted me about it.

Remember that Lane Bryant plus-size lingerie commercial that caused such an uproar?
Well, it’s popping up again — but this time, with benefits to customers. Apparently, Lane Bryant was so touched by all the supporters who defended that commercial celebrating curvy women, they’ve decided to have a mega sale.
