Dirty Dressing: The Style and Times of Diddy-Dirty Money

Dawn Richard and Kalenna Harper, members of Diddy-Dirty Money, Diddy’s newest musical experiment, have been making loud style statements since they hit the stage as a group.

Statements so loud, I’ve found them hard to ignore. The duo’s style is ultra-urban and intriguing: from OMG-haircuts to flabbergasting footwear.

And although I’m not so sure I’d want to copy their complete looks on any given day, one can’t deny that their growing photo gallery is definitely inspiring and a whole lot of fun to look at!

Diddy Wants A Spot in Your Living Room!

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to get into your living room.

Why? Well, he’d like to sell you a few of the things that continue to make him famous.

I’m told the entrepreneurial icon will make two LIVE appearances on HSN to debut his fragrances, Holiday Gift Sets and an exclusive Sean John robe on the shopping network.

The shows air Monday, November 30 at 11.00 p.m. ET and Tuesday, December 1 at 1.00a.m. ET.

After seeing episodes of “I Want to Work for Diddy,” I think it might be interesting to watch him try to sell bottles of “Unforgivable” for a change.

Diddy Reigns!

Yesterday, some folks gave Diddy a reason to celebrate!

His fragrance, Sean John I Am King, took home top honors at the 37th Annual FiFi(R) Awards hosted by The Fragrance Foundation at The Downtown Armory in New York City.

Sean John’s second men’s fragrance, I Am King, was named Fragrance of The Year in the Men’s Luxe category.

Combs took home the same award for his first men’s fragrance, Unforgivable, in May 2007.

Congrats, Diddy!

Designer Label for Short Men

There are some things we never really think about.

Like where do short men shop? What do they wear?

Enter Jimmy Au, who created a line called For Men 5 ‘8″ and Under.

He was tapped to create the first ever extra short collections for Jack Victor, DKNY, Lauren by Ralph Lauren, CK by Calvin Klein, Sean John, and Michael byMichael Kors.

A more recent job would be his selection to wardrobe Olympic Gold Medalist, Scott Hamilton for the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships. Scott stands at just 5’2″.

The designer’s also copped notable mentions in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Men’s Vogue.

Apparently, Forbes listed Jimmy Au’s For Men 5’8″ and Under as one of their 2008 Top Ten Clothing Stores for Men.

Diddy’s Done It Again

What were you doing at 3am on March 5?

Apparently, if you weren’t twittering with Sean “Diddy” Combs, you can consider yourself a looooser.

Lol. Not exactly.

But while most people were deep in sleep, producer / performer / fashion mogul / restaurateur, Diddy, was unveiling another one of his crazy PR projects.

He launched “P. Twitty TV.” via his www.TWITTER.COM/IAMDIDDY page.

So it’s official, people!

Diddy’s Twitter now has a video blog component.

“P. Twitty TV” updates give all his 50,000+ followers (like me) a nearly real-time view of his daily activities.

Btw, his tweets already reveal TMI but fascinating updating on topics from tantric sex sessions to dramatic outings with his entourage.

Craaazy!

CIROC VODKA NEW YEAR'S EVE

Diddy and CIROC will distribute thousands of debit cards, valued up to $15, in high-traffic New York City locations.

The lucky recipients will be able to use the cards in taxicabs on New Year’s Eve, so that no matter how drunk they are, they can get home safely. 

In partnership with the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) and E! Entertainment, CIROC and E! Entertainment are further supporting the initiative with a message from Combs currently running on taxicab televisions in New York City through January 1, 2009.
