Nina Sky + Fila = _______________??

Does anybody wear Fila anymore?

When’s the last time you listened to Nina Sky?

So can somebody tell me why the athletic brand and identical twin duo have partnered to launch a footwear line?!

I thought profits and money making endorsements were business priorities  but I guess I was wrong.

The collection is called “The Melrose” and will feature a “strong mix of colors and materials.”

Can’t wait for pics to be released.

Stay tuned!

New Balance & Nine West Team Up

The newest partnership in the footwear industry has been announced.

And I can’t help but wonder how the shoes are gonna look.

New Balance and Nine West are teaming up to develop an active lifestyle fashion footwear line.

It’s scheduled to hit stores in America and abroad in 2009.

According to a statement released today, the collection will be designed in partnership with Fred Allard, Nine West Creative Director, and Savania Davies-Keiller and Roberto Crivello, New Balance Creative Directors.

Payless ShoeSource to Pay K-Swiss $30 Million

Collective Brands Inc., which operates the Payless ShoeSource and Stride-Rite shoe store chains, is paying footwear rival K-Swiss $30 million in a trademark infringement lawsuit.

The cheaper shoe company said it was not admitting any wrongdoing but that it promises to “refrain from making, advertising, promoting or selling footwear confusingly similar to that sold by K-Swiss.”

According to Associated Press reports, Payless has got until the end of the year to get rid of all remaining K-Swiss-like inventory.
