At this very moment, a team of workers is getting ready for the first-ever Barbie Runway Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
It’s in celebration of Barbie’s 50-year anniversary.
And on February 14, 2009, 50 world-renowned fashion designers will come together to showcase real-size, Barbie-inspired looks.
It takes place in the Tent at Bryant Park.
A statement released by Barbie indicates designer names would be announced in early February.
Nothing official from Barbie yet, but WWD has named Alexander Wang, Kimora Lee Simmons, Tory Burch, Calvin Klein, Bob Mackie, Vera Wang, Donna Karan and Diane von Furstenberg as participating designers.
