“Romantic” just about sums up Vera Wang’s Fall 2011 collection.
Sensual, sweeping looks graced Tuesday’s runway presentation at New York Fashion Week, which the designer says was inspired by iconic American women who fascinated the English aristocracy during the 1930’s.
And it’s not hard to see why.

Last night, a number of celebrities attended the DKMS 4th Annual Gala: Linked Against Leukemia at Cipriani 42nd Street in NYC.
The event raised $1.7M to support the fight against leukemia and other blood related cancers.
The money raised jointly by Coty Inc., a leading global beauty company, and DKMS, the world’s largest bone marrow donor center, will help register over 19,000 bone marrow donors and work to save lives worldwide.

That Vera Wang gown you’ve been eying could soon be a more affordable possibility. The designer and David’s Bridal have announced their exclusive partnership to launch a new bridal collection.
According to David’s Bridal, the collection will consist of gowns and accessories for the bride, and is likely to expand into bridesmaid dresses and shoes.
It will be available in the US in early Spring 2011 and in Canada by the end of 2011.
David’s Bridal has confirmed that all gowns will be priced under $1500.
