Who Wore What :: Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala

Time’s 100 Most Influential People in the World Gala took place on May 4, 2010.

Photogs snapped a number of celebrities arriving at Frederick P. Rose Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center.

After last night’s Met Gala, the red carpet looks may seem a bit of a bore. But if you look closely, trend inspiration may still be had. Enter Sarah Palin rocking the lacy look and Demi Moore with her take on the little black dress.

minnie-and-mickey-mouse

So guess who were the surprise guests on the red carpet at the Vogue Icon Celebration Event in Beijing today?

It wan’t your regular well tone celeb or supermodel.

It was Mickey and Minnie, the Disney animated duo.

Arriving with leading Chinese supermodel Du Juan, Mickey and Minnie joined 500 other fashion icons including Kate MossJessica StamMaggie Cheung, and Milla Jovovich.

The two characters were dressed by internationally renowned fashion designer Vivienne Tam.

According to the Disney camp, their outfits were specially designed to celebrate Disney’s ‘Year of the Mouse’ festivities and are a beautiful blend of festive reds and pinks inspired by catwalk trends to capture the festive spirit of this past Chinese New Year.

I must admit, Minnie’s dress is kinda fly!

Today, we’ve got it–and it looks just as great as the tech folks said it would.

Can’t wait til it launches!

Memo!

We’ve added a new section to our site that takes a look at our favorite books about fashion!

It’s called Fashion (non-)Fiction, especially renamed to accommodate the addition of Kimora’s title, which we oh – so – love!

Also updated is the Sites We Love page, featuring a new virtual catwalk designed by Vivienne Tam and HP.

HP Caters to Fashionistas

Finally!

At HP, techie meets fashionista.

They’ve hired designer Vivienne Tam to create a special edition notebook.

Experts are saying that it will become the ultimate tech accessory for fashionistas around the globe.

It will be available early 2009.

The designer and HP unveiled the design of the  digital clutch on the catwalk today at Tam’s fashion show during New York’s Fashion Week at Bryant Park.

The folks at HP offered no photos this evening but teased us with this description.
